Matthew Riches

Matthew has worked in Legal IT since 1996, undertaking a variety of roles initially in IT Operations (user support, network administration) and latterly focusing mostly on IT Strategy and Business Transformation.
Working within businesses keen to use technology to its fullest effect to improve efficiency, he has been involved in many strategic projects including
• Moving from paper-based to paper-light and paper-free environments
• Document Management implementation and best practice
• Management Reporting and Business Intelligence and Analytics
• Streamlining Business Processes
• Integrating mergers and acquisitions technologically
• Outsourcing IT Services to a Managed Service Provider from an in-house team
Recently he has developed an interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how this can be effectively used to improve client service delivery.
Matthew has worked directly with senior leadership teams and is an effective communicator with all levels of technological confidence, helping bridge the gap between the, often complex and jargon-filled, principles underlying many IT systems, and the needs and desires of the organisations wanting to implement them. In the other direction, he has strong business analysis skills, working with owners on the business problems they have, identifying solutions, both technological and organisational. He is then able to help source and manage the implementation of those solutions with a focus on the business’s goals.
