Leathes Prior Solicitors – IT Review

Leathes Prior Solicitors is one of East Anglia’s leading law firms offering a full range of legal services to organisations and individuals in Norfolk and beyond.  Leathes Prior engaged Baskerville Drummond to undertake a proactive IT review which would provide an external perspective of the firms IT service and strategy.

It is often the case that firms will engage us for an IT review only when the business leaders feel there is something not working as smoothly as it could do. The Leathes Prior engagement was somewhat different as the firm recognised they had a well functioning IT support provision and the review was focused on “kicking the tyres” to ensure the firm were doing and considering the right things, feeding into decisions relating to the medium-term strategy and ensuring the IT Manager had the relevant support and resources to deliver the required service.

We assessed documentation, interviewed all members of the IT department and representatives from all areas of the firm to gather feedback on the support service provided as well as the applications and technology deployed.  This resulted in a detailed assessment report being provided with prioritised recommendations and observations into areas the firm had highlighted as wanting input and views on market-norms.

We also delivered a presentation to the Partners to detail key findings and recommendations.
