Churchers Solicitors – MSP Review

Churchers engaged Baskerville Drummond to support them through the process of assessing their current IT provision and undertaking a procurement exercise which would result in either a re-contract with the incumbent supplier or identify an alternative supplier.

Our first step was to undertake a proactive IT review which provided an external perspective of the firms existing IT service provision and platform. We assessed documentation, interviewed representatives from all areas of the firm to gather feedback on the support service provided as well as the applications and technology deployed.

This resulted in a detailed assessment report being provided with prioritised recommendations and observations which formed an essential part of the requirements document. We supported a comprehensive competitive tender process which included five vendors (including two incumbents).

Our approach is not to be prescriptive on technology options, so vendors were able to put forward different options. Our role was then assessing, and presenting to the IT committee, the pros and cons of different combinations of Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Citrix Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktop or Fat Client along with differing Cyber security solutions and/or managed services.

We then supported the team through final presentations and due diligence as we ended our engagement and the internal team took the project forward.
