Berry & Lamberts Solicitors – PMS Selection
Project type: PMS Selection
Lawnet member and multi-award winner Berry and Lamberts had used their existing Practice Management System for many years, and it was well embedded across the firm.
However, as the business evolved, the system was becoming increasingly restrictive.

The pace of product development had not kept up with the firm’s needs, integration with modern platforms and online services was limited, and access to detailed financial and performance reporting was not sufficient to support future growth.
To help the firm identify the right replacement system, Berry and Lamberts engaged Matthew Riches at Baskerville Drummond. Working closely with Garry Ling, IT Manager, and Paul Reader, Managing Partner, Matthew led a structured selection process designed to ensure the firm chose a solution that was the right fit both operationally and strategically.
The process began with engagement sessions across the firm, giving staff the opportunity to highlight frustrations with the current system as well as the features and workflows they valued and wanted to retain. These insights informed a full tender process, managed by Baskerville Drummond, involving a shortlist of suppliers best aligned to the firm’s requirements, including the incumbent vendor.
Following a detailed review of tender responses, comprehensive demonstration sessions were organised and assessed with input from firm stakeholders. Feedback from attendees was gathered and analysed to support a balanced, evidencebased decision. Throughout the process, Baskerville Drummond also provided market insight and independent guidance on the relative strengths, fit and cultural alignment of each supplier.
As a result, Berry and Lamberts were able to move forward with confidence toward implementation of a new practice management system, providing a stronger platform for integration, reporting and future development.
